Big South Domes

We wanted a quiet place to relax for a couple days and this was it. Close enough to get last minute supplies and a bite to eat when we needed it and far enough away that we were not disturbed.

Premium camping. This is a great stay. The surrounding nature is better than the smokies in my opinion. The cabin was clean and you have everything you need. We grilled, we hiked, we swam, we chilled by the fire, it was awesome. Neighbors are close but they usually are at all campgrounds anyway. Host was A1

Great relaxing place! We caught fish from the pond for dinner one night. Location was perfect! Not far from Cumberland falls where we spent a day hiking. There is also a train ride close to visit blue haron coal miners. That was interesting as well. Will definitely book again!

Christian was a great host. His home was very private, our family enjoyed the porch swings they had out front. The backyard was fenced in for the kids with a basketball court. The house was close to Brimstone to ride and stop back at the house as needed. There was a big driveway with plenty of space for trucks and trailers.

The big dome was the perfect weekend getaway for my husband and I! The dome was truly a 5 star experience! It was absolutely beautiful and so clean. The dome had numerous games for us to play, fishing poles for fishing, etc. It’s in the perfect location to unwind and disconnect, but close enough to stores and restaurants if needed or wanted. Hosts were super responsive and quick to give recommendations. Gather Coffee and El Rey Azteca are a must! The only downsides were the spotty internet used for tv and the train that apparently only runs at night 😅, but both of those are out of the hosts control. We definitely recommend this unique experience and would go back again in a heartbeat!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and LOVED our time. We hiked the trail down to the creek, enjoyed a fire on the deck, and loved relaxing with the “window” open listening to the birds in the mornings. At one point, our water had stopped running so I messaged the hosts. They IMMEDIATELY responded and had someone out to fix the issue within just a few hours. The pictures and descriptions are perfect. We will definitely be back!

Our hotel had fallen through, so last resort we checked air bnb and found the domes, we inquired about it and with 15 minutes we were set up ready to check in when we needed. What started as just visiting family ended up as a memorable 2 day vacation. Place was immaculate and the photos don’t show how amazing it really is, we were blown away when we walked in the door. The dome had everything we needed. Our daughter unfortunately broke a vase but Brandon was very understanding and easy to talk to, to work out how we could compensate them for the vase. 10/10 would definitely stay again and have already recommended it to other family members!

My boyfriend and I spent the weekend here for our anniversary, it was such a peaceful and relaxing getaway! The dome was super cute and cozy—loved the decor and overall vibe. Even though it rained on and off during our stay, the sound of the rain hitting the dome was super relaxing! Brandon was a fantastic host! His responses were incredibly fast, and he was super helpful with local recommendations. Apple Maps took us straight to the dome and we never lost service! We visited Gather Coffee and ate at Mi Barril Mexican Grill (10–15 min from the dome.) There are also plenty of gas stations, stores, and restaurants within 20 mins, which made everything super convenient. We also tried Mary Belle's Ice Cream Shoppe, which was delicious and had great pricing for the portion size. We hiked the full Burnt Mill Loop trail (8 mins from the dome), very peaceful walk with pretty sights, including an up-close view of a waterfall. Overall, a great experience and the perfect little unique getaway!!

Such a beautiful, peaceful and cozy place! You can feel how much love and care was put into every detail — from the decor to the atmosphere. It’s truly a hidden gem where you can relax and reconnect with nature. The host is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and gave us amazing recommendations for local coffee spot. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Had a peaceful, beautiful weekend in this unique getaway!! Very private area in the middle of nature, the pond and walking trails on the property were well kept. Would love to visit again!
